Does anyone have the recipe for fruit tea loaf?

I have lost my recipe this tea loaf was made by soaking fruit in cold tea overnight.

my mother one but she soaks it in porter.
I assume it is the same type of one.
I will ask her for the recipie tomorrow and if no-one has replied I will post hers

I use this recipe it works quite nicely ..



3/4 lb mixed fruit
7oz soft brown sugar
10 oz  self raising flour
3/4 pint freshly made tea
2 eggs
Pinch of salt


1)Make the tea and then pour over the fruit and sugar and leave over night.
2)Mix in the flour and the beaten eggs to the soaked fruit and sugar
3)Place in a 2lb greased, non-stick bread tin.
4)Cook for approximately 1.5 hours at  150ºC.
