we have been infested with snails.........they are munching on my lemon type fir tree.........it smells of lemon when you rub the little leaves!
if i stick slug pellets down will that stop them..........?

In my experience, yes.
We have way more snails than slugs in our garden, and I always put slug pellets down when I've planted new flowers - the result is loads of slime trails that don't quite reach the plants themselves, and empty dried-up snail shells!

If you put pea shingle around the plant they dont like it....and wont go near your plant.....

Best thing I've found is copper barriers ...works for slugs AND snails ..they get a tiny electric shock from it and fall off ... serves 'em right for munching
