guest best way to do sprouts and chestnuts is

Bake your chestnuts or skin and boil in prefered, and chop up.

Boil sprouts until they are just about done

Cut up some bacon fry in a pan then add the chestnuts and sprouts keep tossing them around until sprouts are just right its lovely and very quick.
