hi Vonny,We went to Sidari about 3 years ago.We liked it.It is only a small town, which mosty couples and families seemed to go to.If you are after a traditional Greek place then it is not the place to go.All the bars and restaraunts are mostly on the main street and there are plenty to choose from. The Canal d'amour area is a quieter area but is very nice. You might read some reports of it being smelly round there but that is only when you are going over the canal bridge.Once past that it is ok.If you want to go on any trips, then dont book through your rep,you will find it cheaper in town with one of the many travel places. The people in Sidari are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Have a look at these sites for some other reviews

ooo we went to sidari 4 years ago....yep liked it a lot.
niki's right it was one long street of shops, bars and restaurants.
we stayed at the opposite end of the canal d'amour....which was quite peaceful.
the only thing i would say is there seemed to be an awful lot of stray dogs when we went...and the gypsy sellers were a right pain at times |

We are going to Sidari on 27th September for a week. Do you think we will still need air-conditioning? Planning on being out during the day and presuming it will be fairly cool at night???
I am quite a cold person anyway and evening in Mexico this July, I switch off the air con to sleep at night.
Thanks
Lorraine
