I want to make home made mince pies this year as hubby prefers them. I always used to buy tesco ones but was at a farmers market on sun. and there were home made ones - they were fab and I would love to make my own.
Can anbody help me?

Ok finally Polar
Sorry it took so long
8oz/225g plain flour
2oz/50g icing sugar
5oz/150g margarine
The following ingredients to be beaten together
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon ice cold water
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
3/4lb/350g mincemeat (my Mum usually greates an apple and mix's up)
Preheat oven gas mark 6/400f/200c
1/ Sieve flour & icing sugar together.
2/ Place 1/2 the flour mixture into a mixing bowl togeher with the margarine &
beaten egg mixture
3/ Cream with fork until weel mixed
4/ Add the remaining flour and mix to a firm dough
5/ Knead lightly until smooth
6/ Place in a plastic bag or tin foil and leave in fridge for 1 hour.
Make mincepies
Bake for 15-20 mins _________________

i use thaT one, they taste so much better with icing sugar in them, and the pastries flaky.
