To appreciate this amusing take on "Life on mars" you really do need to know your Pride and Prejudice". Then you can see how well written it is, how the characterisations are true to the original story- and hence the funny side of this time warp sitdrama.
The story unfolds when "Pride and Prejudice" mad Amanda Price discovers a time portal in her bathroom and meets fictitious Elizabeth Bennett there. Somehow she finds herself trapped in the book whilst Elizabeth is missing - presumably back in her bathroom at Hammersmith. She is welcomed by the Bennets as "Elizabeths friend" and that's where the story starts to go awry as Miss Price meets Mr Darcy at the ball instead of Elizabeth. She is desperate to set the storyline back on course but with Elizabeth missing, how can she do that ? An enjoyable bit of escapism from all the doom and gloom around us at the moment.

I really don't like Jane Austen books but I watched this last week and liked it. My Mum was explaining who each person was though. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/]

You don't need to read the book, in fact you saw the BBCs "Colin Firth" version Of Pride and Prejudice you'd recognise everybody. _________________
