I love these type of books, but she has really annoyed the hell out of me in "Blindsighted" because she has called a lot of the characters after people in Wuthering Heights.

She admitted it was her favourite book, but it really grates on my nerves to be reading a serious thriller, to come across a Cathy Linton, a Herton etc.......................does she think because we are reading a gory thiller we have never read something like Wuthering Heights?

Put me right off her.

Ooooh I LOVE her books, I have read them all (but haven't read Wuthering Heights so I didn't notice the name thing .

Polar, yes they are American muder mysteries but there's a lot of sub plot...the "heroine" of her books is a paediatrician and medical examiner, her ex hubby is police chief. They are best read in order!

Hi Polar, sorry Ive been away all weekend so I didnt get to answer!

Like guest said, she writes very good thrillers, excellent storylines, but when you notice something like this, you are actually waiting for Heathcliffe to step from behind a curtain

To me its the equivalent of reading Silence of the Lambs but instead of Clarice Starling it would be say...............guest O'Hara, and the Serial Killer would be called Rhett Bulter..............it distracted so much from the otherwise excellent plot for me.
