I can't believe it's a week since I went to see JB
Well! What can I say? It was absolutely brilliant - better than last year's concert and that was amazing! JB has so much energy, I can't believe how much he crammed into the evening. He made the audience laugh, and he made us cry (sometimes with laughing ) at the stories he told. His 'Scotland Meets the Musicals' tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber has to be seen to be believed but it was hilarious
This is what he sang (also includes Daniel Boys songs)
1st half:
Don't Stop Me Now
Help Yourself
What About Us
I Made it Through the Rain
Life is a Rollercoaster
Could it be Magic (Daniel Boys)
Solitaire (Daniel Boys)
The Musical Theatre Highland Medley!
When You Tell Me That You Love Me
Rhinestone Cowboy
Baby Give it Up
Intermission
Tonights the Night medley of One Night Only, I'm so excited, Boogie Wonderland
and Rhythm of the Night
Both Sides Now
Goodbye My Friend (This is the one for the beloved canines.)
Knock Three Times
Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Daniel Boys)
Everything (Daniel Boys)
I Know Him So Well (duet)
I Won't Send Roses
Can't take My Eyes Off Of You
Living La Vida Loca
Encore
From a Distance
I Am What I Am
Throughout the night and leading into certain of the songs he had photos projected on the wall at the back of the stage. Some of the pictures were of his dogs and I think 99% of the theatre either had a lump in their throats or tears running down their face as he sang 'Goodbye My Friend' in memory of them He was a bit tearful himself when he had finished singing
I can definitely say he thoroughly deserved the two standing ovations he received
I just wish I could go again
Unfortunately my photos didn't come out very well so I'll just upload the best one to here
I took my programme to the Meet for Alsa to look at but I think it went round everyone eventually - Da Mama was handing it round the breakfast table at one point
