aka House:MD. Anyone seen the series starting Hugh Laurie? I'm nearing the end of Series 3 at present. I can understand that he is in pain much of the time and is very irritable because of it but he seems to be emerging as a complete uncaring B.

Considering the poor state of health care in America, anyone know if poor people (ie: those who aren't loaded so can't pay huge medical bills) get free treatment for life threatening diseases as is portrayed in the show? I would have thought Americans would have just sent them home to die.

I love the series, House is also addicted to his painkillers, and loves playing mind games quite a complex character.
