We are going to Dublin later on this year, and i can't make my mind up for how long to go. We are taking our son who is 9 years old,so won't be getting drunk.
does anyone have any ideas of what we can do out there, or recommend some places to go? Also do the pubs out there allow kids in?

Try sending a PM to Carol, she is from Dublin and maybe able guide in the direction of some child friendly activities. _________________

We had a long weekend there....but i cant honestly think of a single attraction for a 9 year old - in ANY city, for that matter. |

I had my 9 year old daughter in Dublin lately, we went to a Conert and some shopping and she had a ride in the new public transport system the LUAS which she loved. _________________

I am planning a trip here next.
Either this year or early next year.
Looking for a small friendly hotel in the centre.
Hubby and I will be visiting pubs, shops etc...
Mum in law will be visiting areas are family came from (before they moved to Scotland)
And hopefully we can use our air miles and get a flight.
How far is it all from the air port?
Cheers

I can reccomend the Ripley Court Hotel, in Talbot Street (right next to O'Connell St ). Think we got it for about £26 pppn including full Irish. Spotless, friendly staff and right in the middle of everything. ... well a drunken wobble across the h'penny bridge if you're drinking in Temple Bar lol !
And deff do the hop on - hop off tour bus, brilliant value (12 euro) , covers all the main sites, including Phoenix Park (where the Zoo is ) Trinity College (book of Kells) Guinness Brewery & loads more. You can hop off when you want and just get on the next one that comes along, to carry on your tour. We loved it.
The Hotel also has secure underground parking as well ( for those who may be driving, as we were) |

Anyone stayed in the Harding hotel?
Looking to book it in August and trip advisor reviews seem good?
