Has anybody been watching the latest series?
I have to say I've been very disappointed in the last two episodes
The next two (last of this series) had better be good

Last episode was very poor IMO, anymore repeating themselves and I was ready to put my fist through the TV !
I feel I have given Donna enough time now to settle in and I still cannot stand her ! Hoping with Rose back in the next episode it might look up also Bernard Cribbens is in the coming episode which will make it more watchable for me. |

And Captain Jack's back too
I haven't taken to Donna either and can only hope she's going to be killed off
I was exactly the same with the repeating on last weeks episode - it just went on for far too long |

This weeks episode was excellent but what was wrong with Billie Pipers teeth ? She sounded like she had a lisp and it was very distracting ! |

Last weeks episode was dire and made me wonder if we are just savages at heart.
Haven't watched this weeks yet, its Sky+ed ready for a late session when I can guarantee not being phoned half way through. There are just some programmes you can't have interrupted. _________________

You`re a ruthless lot aren`t you?!
Sure it`s not because you have a Dalek viewpoint since being swayed to the dark side by Ped? |

I'm not sure which writer wrote which episode in this latest series but there's definitely been a shift since Russell T. Davies announced he's going. Maybe Steven Moffatt is/will be the new lead writer and is exerting his influence.
For me the episodes people here at HC have said they didn't like ... I did. However, I thought last Saturday's episode (21st June) was a cop out along the lines of Christmas repeats. "Let's rehash old episodes and make a 'new' story out of them".
Yes it is the lead up to the return of Bad Wolf but, even so, I don't think I'll be watching that episode again (we have ALL of them recorded on DVD; if anyone is missing any maybe we can get you a copy).
That said, I have high hopes for next Saturday's show. I'd better not be let down or I'll send the daleks round. Or perhaps Anne Robinson..........

Well we've been enjoying them
My 22 year old son has been a big fan ever since he was a boy, and long before the new series started.....
Last week's episode showed that the "parallel universe" theme is always a good one, especially for young people who may not have come across it before.... they love to ask "what if??????"
The writers have re-invented some of the old mythology, but are doing a good job of tying lots of things up, and I feel that these recent episodes have been a lot deeper than just having the Tardis land somewhere in history or sci-fi land, and have a romp with some aliens......there are some profound issues begin explored, which may not be original in the whole of literature, but still give the youngsters something to think about, in the absence of learning Shakespeare or Greek tragedy.
oh and Donna Noble...........does that name mean "noble lady"???
she certainly sacrificed herself in one universe, didn't she? _________________

Actually I'd never thought about the Latin translation of her name. However .....
dona (pronounced "Donna") = give (as in donna nobis pacem = give us peace)
Domina nobilis = noble lady. _________________ “A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention with the possible exceptions of handguns and Tequilla” Mitch Ratcliffe

I know what you mean .... all that dreadful "background" muzak that made chunks of speech inaudible. Why must they do it? _________________ “A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention with the possible exceptions of handguns and Tequilla” Mitch Ratcliffe

ooh we hope he doesn't regenerate too......my son has remembered the Doctor's original hand, which was cut off in his first Christmas adventure with the Sycorax.......and is in a jar in the tardis...(his new hand regenerated by itself...)
maybe that will save him???
if not, they've kept the secret brilliantly....
but oh, I will miss him _________________

Well, a rumour on Digital Spy and the Torchwood Forum is that as only half of the doctor's body was hit by the Dalek's ray perhaps he'll regenerate into the same Doctor or be split into two
I CAN'T WAIT 7 DAYS - AAARRGGHHHHHH!!
