Don't suppose anyone knows the recipes for the chippy curry and batter, tried chip shop curry in supermarkets and it is not the same, or a mild curry recipe for fussy daughter, as she is not near a chippy and wants to experiment making her own, the only fish she will eat is from the chippy so she wants to make her own batter

Batteris easy but as when i make batter its for around 50 people ill have to work out how much you will need.
you will need a food mixer.
in the mixing bowl, add around 125g of flour, about quarter of a cup full of malt vinegar (you can replace that for beer if you want a beer batter)
and around quarter of a pint of water. yellow colouring (optional)
start the mixer and pour in the water slowly to stop it getting lumpy.
if it looks to heavy add some more water, or if to thin add some more flour. then add a little yellow colouring so when you fry the fish it will have a nice golden colour.
dont forget to dip the fish in flour first before putting in the batter, also be care full not to drop the fish in the frier as it will splash and burn you. |

chip shop style curry is mainly dependant on how the chipshop makes theres..
most will use some sort of catering packs of either a solid block that you add water to or a powder. Once that is sourced you then have to think about what else they do, some might just make it as instructed on the packet, others might add things like fried onions
there are a few recipes for the chinese style curry sauce on this site
